Mosstowie Single
Malt whisky was distilled at Miltonduff Distillery
in the plain of Pluscarden or "Garden of Scotland" in Moray. Legend has it that
after an ancient Abbot blessed the waters of the black burn, the drink distilled from them
was called 'aqua vitae' and the stone on which the Abbot knelt became the site of the Malt
mill. In addition to conventional stills it had two Lomond type stills, the product of
which is known as Mosstowie.
Colour: Light - white wine.
Nose: Apple fruitiness and spicy earthiness.
Body: Light..
Palate: Dry, slight cedar wood notes.
Finish: Short.
