Established in 1824 from buildings once used as a meal-mill by
the monks at the nearby Pluscarden Priory. It is said that the Black Burn from which the
distillery draws its water, was blessed by a saintly abbot in the 15th century, and that
the stone upon which he knelt was built in to the distillery walls.
Colour: Golden.
Nose: Fragrant, heather, slightly peaty with vanilla edge.
Body: Light and delicate.
Palate: Floral initially followed by a smoky, spiciness.
Finish: Slighly spicy.
