On the outskirts of Inverness, beside the Caledonian
canal used to lie Glen Mhor distillery which was built in 1892. Its water supply was taken
from that most famous of lochs, Loch Ness. It was sadly closed in 1983 , only to be
replaced by a supermarket five years later. Therefore stocks of its malt are in finite
supply.
Colour: Yellow/gold.
Nose: Sweet and fruity, toffee apples and a touch of smokiness.
Body: Light to medium.
Palate: Starts fruity - pear drops, turns smoky and phenolic.
Finish: Liquorice.
