Said to have been founded in 1825, the distillery is situated in the cleft of a hill and draws water from springs in the Unthank Hills. | ||||

Travelling north on A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road, turn off into and through Brechin, beyond zebra crossing to where the road swings sharp left. Do not turn left, head straight onto monument in centre of grassy area and head for shops. Turn left at top of road, turn at the end of that road and the third left to distillery. | ||||
