MORE SCOTCH WHISKY DISTILLERIES WELCOME VISITORS
Over one million taste the water of life
Forty-four Scotch Whisky distilleries are throwing open their doors to visitors in 1998, and encouraging visitors to Scotland to follow the one million people who last year discovered the secrets of Scotch.
The distilleries are listed online, and in The Scotch Whisky Association’s leaflet, Distilleries Which Welcome Visitors, which covers distilleries from the northern isles to those near Edinburgh and Glasgow, from the Hebrides to those distilleries spread across the Highlands and Speyside.
The leaflet provides a map showing the location of distilleries, and gives addresses, telephone numbers, opening times and tour arrangements. Those with facilities for disabled visitors are clearly identified.
Copies of the guide can be obtained from The Scotch Whisky Association,14 Cork Street, London, W1X 1PF, tel: 0171 629 4384 or 20 Atholl Crescent, Edinburgh, EH3 8HF, tel: 0131 222 9235.
