Andrew Dewar-Durie, Chairman of
Allied Distillers, has been named Chairman of The Scotch
Whisky Association’s Public Affairs Committee. |

A member of the Association’s
Council for six years, Mr Dewar-Durie has also served as
Chairman of the Association’s Working Group on
the Protection of Scotch Whisky. He is Chairman of CBI
Scotland. |

Mr Dewar-Durie succeeds Phil
Parnell, who left United Distillers following the merger
of Guinness with Grand Metropolitan and is now Chief
Executive of Dunlop Slazenger. |
